Commitment to accessability
At Ebb & Flow Play Therapy, we believe that every child and family should have the opportunity to access supportive, developmentally appropriate therapeutic care.
Our services are available to both privately paying families and children who are supported through the NDIS (self-managed and plan-managed participants). We work alongside families to ensure therapy aligns with their child’s individual NDIS goals and prioritise collaboration with other professionals involved in the child’s support network to promote the best possible outcomes.
Play Therapy is considered an approved support under the NDIS, allowing eligible families who are self-managed or plan-managed to use their child’s funding to access our services.
Please note that Play Therapy is currently not eligible for rebates under Medicare, Private Health Insurance, or a Mental Health Care Plan.
Cancelation Policy
At Ebb & Flow Play Therapy, consistency and predictability are essential for building safety, trust, and therapeutic progress for children. Regular attendance supports the development of a secure therapeutic relationship, which is foundational to effective play therapy.
Appointment Cancellations
We understand that unexpected circumstances can arise. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we kindly request a minimum of 24 hours’ notice.

Cancellations made with more than 24 hours’ notice will not incur a fee.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur the full session fee.

Non-attendance without notice (Did Not Attend) will incur the full session fee.
Illness
If your child is unwell, please notify us as soon as possible. In some circumstances, fees may be waived at the therapist’s discretion in cases of genuine illness or emergency.
Ongoing Cancellations
Play therapy relies on continuity to support emotional safety and regulation. Frequent cancellations or inconsistent attendance may impact therapeutic outcomes.
If multiple late cancellations or missed sessions occur, Ebb & Flow Play Therapy may review the suitability of continuing to hold the ongoing appointment time.
NDIS Participants
For self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants:

Late cancellations or non-attendance may be billed in line with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits.
Late Arrival
If you arrive late to your scheduled appointment, the session will still conclude at the original finishing time. The full session fee will apply.
We appreciate your understanding that appointment times are reserved exclusively for your child, and late cancellations may prevent other families from accessing support.
